Blood Elves

Blood elves, also known as Sin’Dorei, are one of the five horde races available. They have a very unique history that is quite sad and full of strife.
Blood elves are survivors of the High Elves who survived the destruction of Quel’Thalus by the Scourge. Originally they were loyal to the alliance, but the Human commander Garithos felt the Blood elves were worthless and wanted them to die. He placed them in the most dangerous situations and at one point the leader of the Blood elves, Kael, needed to make a secret alliance with the serpent like race the Naga in order to save his people. After this reluctant pact, the Blood elves were never liked by the Alliance again and locked up in Dalaran. The Naga helped free the Blood elves here and overpower the alliance to escape. After this the Blood elves ended up in the Eastern Kingdom, establishing Silvermoon City, their capitol.
Most Horde races do not trust Blood elves, but they are acknowledged because they are help against the alliance. Blood elves are often characterized by their dark Magic use. This related to the fact that they had originally drawn their power from the Sunwell in Quel’Thalus but since it was destroyed by the scourage they had no way to incorporate their love for arcane magic and thus were tempted by a demonic sources given by Illidan in return for helping him conquer the Outlands. They accepted and thus gained the power they have now. Those that use too much power are called the winnowed.
Blood elves style themselves in red and black, also they style their hair in ways the Night elves see unfit. The Blood elves decorate themselves in tattoos that ward off enemies or look freighting. The Night elves hate them! They are disgusted by them and want them all dead. The /flrits really show the characteristics of the blood elves in a funny way, for instance, “You look almost as good as I do.” This is funny because it shows how self absorbed they are and their ego. Also they say, “You know what I love about your eyes? If I look deep enough I can see my own reflection.” Again this shows their narcissism and confidence. Also with the /silly commands there was one that said, “I’m trying to cut back on arcane magic, look I got the patch!” This ties perfectly in with their love for arcane magic and the need to not succumb to it. The /dance is funny too, they do the air guitar and other ridiculous rock star dances showing they love themselves and attention. Also the capitol city Silvermoon is quite elegant and impressive. The architecture seems to incorporate magic because there are floating lights all over. Also large fountains that are very showy, it seems like the blood elves like to show off.
One last thing unique to blood elves is they are the only horde race that can be a paladin. This is funny because they are supposed to love arcane magic not holy magic. However it fits them because of their love of magic and the fact that they are the one race that was once alliance friendly so perhaps that is why.
