In World of Warcraft there are typically more males that play than females. According to our quantitative survey data 27 people were male, while only 9 were female. Of the 27 males they played much more than the females surveyed. The males played nearly 22 hours a week. The females played a mere 17.5 hours. Furthermore, males were found gaming more important to their happiness than school. The members surveyed were asked to rate both how important gaming is to their happiness, as well as how important their school was to their happiness. According to our survey, males said that gaming was very important to their happiness (n=4.22) while females said it was less important (n=3.71). The data on how important school was to their happiness was reversed. Males stated that it was less important (n=2.81) whereas females gave the higher (n=3.11).
